This week my daughter Keira starts Pre-Kindergarten. It is crazy how next year she will already be in kindergarten! Time really does fly by. We decided to celebrate with some apple marshmallow pops! Instead of actually being productive and getting everything organized we made some cute marshmallows :). Luckily Keira’s not at the age where we have a huge list of supplies she needs for school. These marshmallows are a fun and easy way to get kids excited for back to school. You can put them in school lunches for the first day too!
I love marshmallow pops because they are cute and so easy to make! What yo need to make them:
marshmallows
red candy melts(you can get these at any craft store)
pretzel sticks
pink heart sprinkles and green heart sprinkles(or leaves)
parchment paper
lollipop stick or fork
Put a lollipop stick or fork in the top of the marshmallow, press lightly since you will be taking the marshmallow off. Melt the candy melts according to the package and dip the marshmallow in covering it completely. Then place the marshmallow on parchment paper.
Break a pretzel stick in half. Put one half into the top of the marshmallow in the place of the lollipop stick.
Before the candy melts dry put the eyes on. Then the pink heart sprinkle for the mouth, tuck the bottom part of the heart in to the candy melts so the bottom point isn’t showing. Put the green heart on top as a leaf. Let them dry and you are done!
They are cute and easy! Now who’s ready for school?
