Chocolate Covered Guitar Marshmallows

Guitar Marshmallows and Picks

Sometimes you just want to make chocolate covered guitar marshmallows or is that just me?! These little rock n roll marshmallows turned out insanely cute! They are a perfect, simple dessert for a music lover’s birthday or rock n roll party. A music theme is such a great party theme because everyone loves music. I am definitely partial to acoustic guitars music. That’s the kind of music I like to listen to when I make my little treats. I also like to play music that goes with the theme of what I’m making. It just makes the process more fun! Dancing is an important part of my creative process as well.

marshmallow ingredients

What you need to make the guitar marshmallows:

marshmallows

black and yellow candy melts

pretzel sticks

dip marshmallows cover with chocolate put on a backing sheet lined with parchment paper

  1. Put two marshmallows next to each other on a fork and dip it in the yellow melted candy melts. Use a spoon to cover the tops with candy melts. Gently shake the fork over the bowl so excess candy melts come off.
  2. Place the candy covered marshmallows on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.put black candy melts on top pretzel sticks pretzels on top of wet candy melts small pretzel on top across
  3. Melt the black candy melts in a small bowl. With a small spoon or candy making bottle put a small oval shape of black melts in the center of the marshmallows where the two marshmallows come together. Make sure it is right in the center and doesn’t go out to the edges. It’s easier to use a candy making bottle but with a spoon just use a small amount at a time and spread it around gently.
  4. Take two pretzel sticks and break off a small amount of each at the top about a quarter inch long. I also made them with the two whole pretzel sticks for the bottom then broke off small pieces of another pretzel stick. This way is kind of nice because you have more room on top to hold on to but either way works.
  5. Put the long pieces of pretzel over the marshmallows while the candy melts are still wet. Place them just below the black part just to the sides of the black part and angle them in slightly so they will touch at the top, as shown above. Then gently dip the small pieces in yellow candy melts on one side. Put that side facing down on top of the long pretzel pieces across and above the marshmallows.
  6. Let them dry completely. This should take less than an hour.guitar made from marshmallows playing the marshmallow guitar  mini marshmallow guitars  guitars you can eatChcolate Covered Guitar Marshmallows! These marshmallows are perfect for the music lover or a rock n roll party dessert.

Seriously, I am in love with these little guitar marshmallows! I also made little picks with the black candy melts. I used the candy making bottle to squeeze the melts into little triangle shapes on the parchment paper. You could also do this with a spoon, just get out a small amount and spread it into a triangle with a toothpick. You can put the picks right on top of the guitars.
