Paper Flower Hoop Wreath

It’s already starting to feel like spring here in Phoenix! It is really the best time of year to be outside here. The nice weather made me want to do some outside crafting and make flower crafts. I don’t usually make wreaths but I think I’m going to start making some for every season. This hoop wreath is easy to make and could be fun for indoors to hang on a door or just up on a wall. I just love the things you can make with paper and anyone with any crafting skill level could make this paper flower hoop wreath. As soon as it’s nice out I encourage you to do some outdoor crafting it’s refreshing and nice to get outside. Now I want to have an outdoors girls craft day!

What you need to make it:

Spellbinders Platinum or Prizm

flower dies

colorful cardstock paper

embroidery hoop

pink or bright color paint

Paint the embroidery hoop in any fun bright color. Let it dry.

Cut out any flower dies with your Spellbinders cutting machine. I ended up using the Blooms Three flowers because they were the easiest and I love the tropical.

Once the flowers are cut out glue the smaller piece on top of the bigger one with hot glue. Lift up the petals and slightly fold them up and down over. Repeat with all of the petals. Add the center piece on top.

Put a dot of hot glue on the embroidery hoop. Firmly press the flower down on top of the glue. Add a dot about an inch away from the first flower and then add a second flower on top of the glue. You can continue around the entire hoop if you would like. I added two bunches of 5 paper flowers. One on the bottom left and one on the top right.

I used a bunch of bright colors and a navy blue for contrast. I really love this color combination but you could use any colors you want. It would look good with two colors.
