Beach Memory Jar

After going to the beach don’t you just wish you could take the beach and that feeling home! Well you can in a way with an easy beach memory jar. These are really cute also for party centerpieces. Plus so simple to make! You can use larger vases for a centerpiece. This can be a simple house decoration as well. If you have beach pictures of kids or family this is cute for a photo display. This one I made with shells and sand I collected from the beach. I want to bring as much of the beach as I can home with me!

What you need to make it:

mason jar a clear one without writing would work best but I just used what I had

sand and shells

a beach picture

rope to wrap around the top

1. Take your beach picture and place it in the jar. You can cut it down to the right size to fit nicely in the jar. Wrap it around one side with the picture facing the inside. If you want a picture to show in the back place two pictures back to back together in the jar.
2. Add a small amount of sand to the bottom of the jar.
3. Add a few small shells.
4. Wrap rope around the top and put a shell right on top. I would probably paint the top white or blue if I was doing it again.
5. That’s all!

This is such an easy and fun way to bring the beach back home with you after a beach vacation! Like I said they could also make cute and easy centerpieces for a party.
