Superhero Mask Printable
Do you have a kid that loves superheroes? Then they are going to love these free printable superhero mask. These masks can be used for crafts or parties. Make it look like a kids favorite superhero.
The masks come in a few different styles and designs. There are plain masks with a separate sheet of elements to add to the mask. This is a fun activity for a superhero birthday party. Kids can decorate their own mask. You can use colorful paper or craft foam to make the masks.
This is also a fun classroom activity for classroom use, these masks are a fun craft and would be a good activity to make while reading a book about superheros.
They also are perfect for a superhero party. What kid wouldn’t want to wear their own super hero mask? It can be an activity to decorate the masks and wear them or just have them ready for kids to wear.

Directions to make a Superhero Mask
First decide which mask or masks you want to use. You can use more than one mask template. The masks are for personal use, non-commercial use.
When you have the mask you want to use click on the CLICK HERE text above the image of the mask you want to use. You will need a pdf reader to open the pdf file.
Then download the pdf files for the superhero mask template printables.
Now it is time to print out the masks. You can print them on cardstock paper or white printer paper. If you are coloring the mask to wear I would use cardstock paper because it is sturdier. If you are using the paper masks to trace on construction paper, felt superhero masks, or foam paper then printer paper works.

Here you will find a few different free printable superhero mask templates to choose from. These can work for different types of super heroes from captain america to batman.
The first superhero mask is a very simple design. This rounded mask can work for so many different superhero characters. There is a plain option and one with stars.

Next is a mask has a cat eye shape. This one can work for batman or make your own superhero character. There is a plain option and one with lightening bolts!

The next super hero mask has a rounded look but covers more of the top of the face. This one has an option with a large star and just the mask outline.

Last is a sheet with just embellishments and decorations to add to the masks. This way kids can make the mask their own.

How to make a superhero mask.
Download the digital pdf file for the mask you want to use.
Print out the template of the printable masks you want to use. For decorating directly on the sheet of paper cardstock paper is a thicker paper.
You can print the templates out a bunch of times for a group of kids. If you are using it to trace you only need one template printed out. Feel free to use more than one of the mask designs.
Next if kids are going to color the masks on the paper do it directly on the sheet of paper before cutting out the mask shape that way they don’t have to color in the lines. Kids can color with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.
​Cut out the shape of the mask starting with the outside outline and then cut out the eye holes. You can cut out the eye holes with an exacto knife or cut them out with scissors.
Next if you are using the shape to trace you can do so on felt, craft foam, colorful cardstock paper, or colorful construction paper. Take a black marker to trace along the outline so you can see clearly where to cut out the mask. Trace the outline on the craft paper as many times as you need for multiple masks.
Then cut out the mask shapes.
Punch holes in the side of the mask on the right side and the left side. There is a small circle that shows you where to punch the hole.
Take ribbon or elastic string and insert it into the hole. Then tie it around the hole on one side.
Measure the mask around a kids head to make sure it is big enough but not too big. Then cut off the extra ribbon or elastic and tie it on the other side.
Kids can add extra decorations like stickers, gems, puffy paint, pom poms, tissue paper, or colorful paper.
