Thanksgiving is the time to eat as much as your heart desires. Also to be thankful for all that food, friends, and family. My eyes are often bigger than my stomach and at a certain point I am just stuffed and can’t eat any more. Luckily for me there are always leftovers. My mom cooks enough to send everyone home with leftovers and then I can just live off of that meal for a week. It is that good I could eat it all week.I made these cute little turkey Thanksgiving leftovers bags. You can put food in plastic bags in these paper bags to take to go or small Tupperware. Trick Or Treat Boo Basket

It is the time of year to Boo or be Booed! Boo baskets are a fun gift idea to surprise neighbors and friends around Halloween. They are little Halloween themed gifts to get into the Halloween spirit. My family loves loves Halloween. It is mom’s favorite holiday and it was my grandmothers favorite. We love dressing up, we love decorating, and we love all things spooky. I took the boo basket idea and put my own twist on it. This is an easy boo basket trick or treat invite! Trick or treating is better with friends and this is a fun way to surprise friends telling them you want them to trick or treat with you. It has some Halloween socks, glow sticks, glow bracelet, stickers, and candy inside! Some of the essentials for trick or treat time. everyone can wear matching socks, necklaces, and glow sticks for the occasion. It doesn’t have to be anything over the top just a couple little things to surprise friends. My daughter is so excited for Halloween and I want her to have a fun time trick or treating. You can put anything you want in a little boo basket or get the plastic pumpkins for holding candy. read more

Jack O Lantern Treat Bags

Continuing with fun and easy Halloween treat bags I have these easy jack o lantern treat bags. These are simple to make and oh so cute! I made them in orange and gold. The black and gold work great for adult gifts and parties. The orange is cute for kids. The gold looked really good in person but didn’t photograph as well. I love simple ideas for holidays because nobody has time for anything too complicated. Plus, anyone and.I mean anyone can make these little jack o lantern treat bags. I must confess that I really do not like making actual jack o lanterns. Carving pumpkins is such a pain in the butt. Maybe I’m just bitter because mine always turn out uneven and just all around horrible. Now they make cute stencils for the pumpkins but even with those carving is just not my jam. However, making treat bags is and that is why I am sticking to what I know on the blog. read more

There are few things in life that I love more than chocolate. The women in my life are one of those things that I love even more than chocolate! Earlier this summer I moved across the country. I used to live just a few minutes from my parents and sister. My family has always been very close and it is hard to be apart from them. While I am enjoying the beach life in Florida and starting my own family, I do miss my loved ones! One great way to stay connected to loved ones is to send gifts. My sister is one of the most amazing women I know. She puts her family first and doesn’t do enough to treat herself. I wanted to give her a spa day experience at home. This gift was easy to put together with the 31 oz DOVE Chocolate PROMISES from Sam’s Club, a few do it yourself elements to give it a personal touch, and all wrapped together in a soft robe. I made cute printable tags for the overall gift and individual items in it. I also will show how easy it is to use the chocolate canister from DOVE Chocolate PROMISES to make a fun spa gift. However, you have to take out some of the chocolate and keep it for yourself to make a spa gift canister. It is a tough job but somebody has to do it! The variety of flavors in the DOVE Chocolate PROMISES includes Dark Chocolate, White & Dark Chocolate Swirl, and Sea Salt Caramel & Dark Chocolate. They are all so good. These two spa gift ideas are perfect for showing friends you appreciate them. My sister can have a whole fun and relaxing day with all of these goodies. My friend Jessica’s baby shower is coming up and we are planning a beach themed baby shower! Since we live close to the beach every baby is going to be a beach baby! Kids really love the ocean and the beach. Not to mention mama loves the beach. It’s important to give a gift that fits with the mom’s interests. She said she can’t wait to bring the baby to the beach with her! I remember when my daughter was a baby how fun it was to have beach days and how much she loved the water. I can’t wait for Jessica to have that experience with her first baby! After the beach a nice long bath is necessary. She needs the best products to keep baby safe and clean! It also helps to have bath products that make you feel like you are still at the beach with cute ocean designs. Beach themed bathrooms are the cutest, water and the beach are a match made in heaven. With a beach baby shower I needed to make a beach themed gift. I made this adorable beach bucket gift basket for her. The new stylish J&J Baby Design Wrap products worked perfect in the gift basket with their modern ocean animals design. I was inspired to make little turtle and octopus wash cloths to match with the baby bath products. They are really easy to make and the cutest! I got the fun new J&J Baby Designer Wrap products found exclusively at Target. Any excuse to go to Target is fine with me. When I bought them the lady at check out said someone else had just bought the Johnson’s Baby Wash Honey Apple kind. Next time I will have to get that scent, it sounds amazing! The ones I got with the ocean animal designs were perfect for a beach themed gift basket. It was easy to make and I know the new mom will love this gift. I just adore cute and easy themed, personal gifts. It also works perfectly for boys, girls, or if the mom is waiting to find out the sex of the baby! I personally couldn’t wait, I had to know. However, I love the idea of waiting for that surprise moment of finding out once the baby is born. Maybe for the next one. read more

DIY Unicorn Favor Bags

This week is all about the unicorns because they are awesome and I can never get enough unicorns! I made these adorable unicorn favor bags. You can use this technique to make unicorn gift bags as well. Who wouldn’t love a little gift dressed up as a unicorn. I have some other unicorn fun coming your way later this week but these bags are one of my favorites. I may have an obsession and I may be writing this while wearing my unicorn slippers. Unicorn parties are fun for kids and adults. One of these days I plan to have a unicorn brunch with lots of rainbow fun treats. I got these bags from the dollar store but you can use any white bags, although the handles on the bags worked really well for the ears. For the hair I used some rainbow metallic tissue paper from the party store for the hair. You can use colorful tissue paper as well. read more

Summertime just makes me want to relax by the pool and not worry about a thing. In stores I keep seeing outfits and activities for summer, which means it is time to stock up on summer essentials! I am always one of the first people to get cute colorful towels, sunglasses, and flip flops. In Phoenix we start getting ready for summer early because it feels like summer in March.
