Easter Chick Cupcakes

I just love this time of year. March is probably my favorite month because the weather is just amazing in Arizona. I have to soak it in before the heat comes. We have been decorating with flowers and getting ready for Easter. Last Easter I made these cute baby chick mini cupcakes! I made mini cupcakes to fit in the Easter eggs and because mini chick cupcakes are just too cute! I wanted something easy to make and put out during the Easter festivities.

For these cute baby chick mini cupcakes you need:

mini cupcakes

white frosting

yellow food coloring

mini chocolate chips

pink heart shaped and flower shaped sprinkles

piping bag and star tip for frosting the cupcake

Mix a few drops of yellow food coloring in the frosting. To frost them pressed a dot of frosting onto the cupcake and pull upward. Repeat this in rows until the cupcake is filled. Put the mini chocolate chips facing downwards for the eyes, the heart shaped sprinkle for the nose and flower sprinkles for the feet.

I served them in little Easter eggs. If I was doing it again I would have the eggs next to the cupcakes like they had just hatched because they didn’t really want to stay in the eggs. I also made “carrot” strawberries with strawberries dipped in orange candy melts. Yum, I am ready to start baking!
