Penguin Plate Craft

My daughter is obsessed with penguins. She has a bed full of penguin stuffed animals. We did a whole school unit study about penguins. I know everything there is to know about penguins! I get why she is obsessed with penguins because they are just the cutest animals ever. We also have made a bunch of penguin crafts and treats over the years. My all time favorite one I’ve made is walking penguin donuts. Check them out to make as well as these penguin plate crafts. The funny thing is we have only lived in warm weather. I get cold when there is a slight chill in the air and bundle up under blankets. My girl is part penguin but I am a wimp with the cold. I love visiting the snow but I don’t know if I’m cut out for visiting the penguins. I’m sure she will one day visit the penguins but I will just stick to penguin crafts and treats.  read more

Pipe Cleaner Snowflakes

Christmas is a time for fun, joy, and crafting! My daughter likes crafts that are quick and easy. She also loves anything to get in the holiday spirit. We made these cute little pipe cleaner snowflakes for a simple craft. I made them extra colorful with colorful beads. To look more snowy you can add silver, blue, or white beads. You just need a few things to make them

Pipe Cleaner Christmas Food Toppers

Christmas Party Food Toppers

Reindeer and Snowflake food toppers

This is one of those Christmas projects I thought of last minute, winged it, and they turned out super cute! Sometimes I plan and plan, then the project turns out like crap. Other times I get in the zone, improvise, and something good comes out of it. I was having a Christmas Day of crafting, Christmas music, pjs, and eating Christmas cookies with my daughter. We came up with these fun sparkly Christmas party food toppers made out of pipe cleaners. We made reindeer, Christmas trees, and snowflakes oh my. I’m going to show how to make the little snowflakes. The trees are super easy and the reindeers are the hardest but oh so cute. All in all it is an easy shiny and fun craft. Really great for making with kids. So I have pictures for the snowflakes, the trees you can figure out from the instructions but the reindeer I made a video and I just need to figure out how to upload that to give you the whole tutorial of how to make them. Overall they are all easy peasy to make! read more

Owl Scarf DIY

I have a scarf obsession. They dress up boring winter clothes and are an easy way to accessorize. My scarfs include tons of colors and patterns. I also have a gold elephant one that I love. I made this simple infinity scarf from the dollar section at target into an owl scarf. It’s cute because the owl looks like it’s tucked into the scarf like a nest. Anyone can make this diy no sew owl scarf! It literally takes no crafty skill to make this owl scarf. Just a couple simple instructions. read more

DIY No Sew Owl Hat

Owl hat DIY

I love winter time and getting all bundled up. In Phoenix it doesn’t get cold to the point where you can’t leave the house but you definitely need to be bundled up. I also love winter hats! I’ve seen the adorable animal hats that people crochet or sew. Crocheting and sewing are way above my crafty skill level. One day when I have some extra time maybe I will learn how to crochet. For now I will stick to the easier way. I found some solid color hats from the dollar section at target. They were a couple dollars. Then you add a felt owl and it is an adorable owl hat. I made this one for me but you can also make them for kids. For my daughter I will add in some bright colors to match her rainbow colored wardrobe. I made this peek a who owl hat(get it, peek a boo peak a who) in minutes. read more

Cute and Simple Penguin Cupcakes

Penguin Cupcakes

Cute Penguin Cupcakes

My daughter is obsessed with penguins! Here bed looks like the stuffed animal arctic. She is building up quite the penguin collection. I think it is so adorable. The only problem is she wants to go see penguins in their natural habitat and I had to break it to her that’s not going to happen. She wants to see those emperor penguins waddling in the wild. We are Arizona girls I don’t think I could handle the cold and it would be quite the impossible trip to visit penguins in Antarctica. When I was in South Africa there were penguins and they were the cutest. Hopefully someday we can visit the beach dwelling penguins! That’s more my style. I get cold when it is 50 degrees. read more

Printable Winter Gift Card Holders

I really like to give and receive gift cards. Honestly I am not the best at picking out gifts. It is so hard to find the perfect gift. Then you don’t know if someone genuinely likes the gift or are just trying to be nice. You want to pick out the perfect gift but you can’t pick out the perfect gift for everyone. Gift cards are a no brainer. Everyone loves a gift card. I would never say no to a Target gift card. I can’t even predict what I will want or need one week to the next from Target. People like to be able to pick out there gifts themselves. These adorable winter gift card holders are perfect for easy winter or Christmas gifts. read more

Tiny winter snow village treats

Easy Mini Winter Treats

Edible snow village

I love winter time when it snows and the trees are covered with snow. It is the best and of course building snowmen! Last year we went up north to Flagstaff to the snow, I live in Phoenix and we have to drive a little bit to get to the snow. When we were there it snowed like crazy. My daughter absolutely loved the snow! We tried to build snowmen but we could not get the snow to roll into a big ball. I don’t know if my snowman building skills are rusty or if the snow was just too fresh. To celebrate winter coming I made some easy mini winter treats. Sort of a mini snow village with mini snowmen and winter trees. These winter treats turned out adorable. They were also incredibly tasty, Reese’s are my favorite. No baking involved here and really fun to make with kids. read more
