This weeks theme on the blog is Cinderella! I just had to make these Cinderella slipper cupcakes for the occasion. You can also make high heel cupcakes like this for a girls night, white ones for a bridal shower and I know a few ladies who would love these for their birthday! I must confess I am not much of a heels person. Yes, I love the look of pretty heels, especially the sparkly ones. However, my feet hate them and I am the biggest klutz on the planet. I have fallen on my butt while wearing heels more times than I care to admit. Those who can’t wear heels make pretty high heel cupcakes! I love the light blue Cinderella color! I could also see hot pink or red for the adult ladies.
What you need to make these:
cupcakes
Milano cookies
Pirouettes
white frosting
blue sanding sugar
First take the cupcake and cut a small sliver off of one end of the top. Then frost the cupcake. Dip the cupcake in the sanding sugar. Move it back and forth until it is covered.
Take a milano cookie and frost three of the sides, the longer edges and one of the shorter edges. Then dip it in the sanding sugar make sure the frosting is covered. Press the cookie firmly into the sliver of the cupcake that was cut off. It should stay in place. Hold up a Pirouette and cut it to the length where it is right below the milano cookie. Put a small amount of frosting on the top of the Pirouette and place it under the cookie. Try not to move the cupcake ones the “heel” is in place because they didn’t stay on with too much movement.
Look at all the pretty! I really love the shiny blue and these are perfect for a Cinderella party!
