I am in baby shower mode right now! There are a few showers coming up that I am helping out with. For my sister’s baby shower years ago, my niece is now six, time flies! We had mini cakes that looked like baby blocks. They were adorable but definitely beyond my amateur skill level of baking. I wanted to recreate this concept for a baby shower but find a simpler way to do it. I decided to try to make baby shower rice krispies treats. I think they look really cute and were definitely easy to make. They aren’t perfectly smooth with the krispie treats but it is such a time saver to not actually bake a cake. The great thing is you could make these for any baby shower theme just change the colors depending on the theme.
What you need to make them:
rice krispies treats
candy melts in at least two colors
writing icing
Cut rice krispies treats into square pieces. Melt the candy melts according to the package. Dip the the treats into the candy melts. Let them dry.
Use writing icing or candy melts in a different color in a candy bottle. Draw a square around the top edges. Write a letter in the middle. You can do ABC’s or spell out baby or the name of the baby.
Aren’t they so cute?! A perfect easy dessert for a baby shower
