How to use the fish templates

 

Choose from the variety of fish templates and coloring pages. The fish come in different shapes and sizes.

First you will need to pick the free printable template you want to use. Click on the CLICK HERE button above the image of the template you choose to use. This will take you to the free printable pdf file. Download the digital file on to your phone or computer. These printables are for personal use, non-commercial use. They can be printed out a bunch of times or used multiple times at home.

Once you have your fish picked out it is time to print! Print out the free printables on your home printer or at a local print shop. For a thicker paper use card stock paper. You can also use printer paper. You can print directly on to colorful card stock paper if it is 8.5×11″ size. That way you can have a variety of colorful fish!

First is a fish with large fins. It is. pretty fish shape and a great size for crafts. This fish could work for a rainbow fish craft or for decorations.

The next fish has more details. It would work great for coloring sheets or decorations. This fish has more of a pointed nose and fins. Make colorful fish or print them out on white paper.

Fish Craft Ideas

 

​Make a paper plate fish craft. Use the template to trace on a paper plate. Then paint or decorate the paper plates.

Paper tube fish. Take paper tubes and paint them blue like the ocean. You can also use blue paper. Then print out the smaller fish templates. Glue the fish on to the paper tube.

Tissue paper fish craft. Cover the inside of the fish with glue from a glue stick. Then add small squares of colorful tissue paper to the template.

Make fish scales! Use circles of paper to make fish scales. Fold a circle in half and glue it on the paper for a fish scale. Repeat until the body of the fish is filled up with fish scales.

Fish play doh fun! Use the paper for a play doh mat! Put it in a sheet protector or cover the paper with clear packaging tape. Then roll out little balls of play doh in different colors. Cover the fish with play doh for the scales.

Make an under the sea painting with washable paints or watercolor. Add small fish to the painting once the paint dries.

Fish sponge painting. Take sponges, use cheap ones from the dollar store or grocery store. Cut the sponges into strips. Tape a fish template and tape it to a piece of paper. Dip one end of a strip of sponge (you can use half or whole sponges as well). Press the sponge on to the paper. Cover the edges of the template with paint. Then once the paint dries remove the template and you have a cool colorful fish outline.

Once you have made a fish craft punch a hole in the top and hang it up from a string like it is swimming!
