Summer crafting is the best! It doesn’t have to be as structured just let the kids have fun and craft. Give me all the crafts and activities for the summer because we have to keep these kids busy! Beach and water crafts are great themes for summer crafting with kids.

I used to live by the beach and my kids would love watching the surfers. It takes some serious skill to surf! When the big storms came they were the only ones out in the water able to handle the big waves.

Free Printable Surfboard Craft Templates

These surf board templates come in different shapes and sizes. Some have three different sizes to choice from and others have two. Then you will find some surfboards with patterns to use for coloring pages!

The first surf board is a simple round shape. More of a funboard or longboard shape.

Printing out the Surfboards

All of these templates are in pdf format. To get the digital file for the surfboard you will need to click on the blue writing above the image or the image of the surfboard you want. Feel free to download multiple surfboard templates. Once you click on the image it will take you to pdf. Download the pdf file, these files are for personal use, non commercial use. Print them out on a home printer or at a local print shop. I like to print on cardstock paper but white printer paper works too. Cardstock is thicker for using a lot of glue or paints with young kids.

Surfboard Crafts Ideas

These surfboard craft templates are perfect for making a fun beach scene and to use with watercolor paints. Create the beach scene, decorate the surfboard, and glue it on top of the water.

Design your own surfboards! Do you want polka dots, stripes, zig zags, or a turtle on it. Get creative and make the surfboard your own.

Tape to a paper and use cotton balls or q-tips to dot paint around the template. When you remove the template it will show the outline of the surf board.

Surfboard sun catcher. Print out the template on any color paper you want and cut out the center surfboard part. Put contact paper sticky side up underneath the template. Add small pieces of tissue paper to the template. Once it is covered with colorful tissue paper add another piece of contact paper to the top stick side down. Then cut out the shape of the surfboard and hang it up in a window to make a pretty sun catcher.

Use the decorated surf board for pretend play with toys. They might want to go to the beach this summer and ride the waves!
