Printable Summer Bucket Lists
First is the long list with tons of stuff to check off this summer. Lets see if we can get through the entire bucket list of fun activities this summer. I will go through each item on the list and give extra ideas for how to accomplish everything on the list. Some of the ideas are easier than others but even if you cant make it to the beach there is plenty of fun to have this summer.
1. Picnic: Let kids help pack a picnic. I don’t have a picnic basket but we will just use paper bags to pack our picnic. Pack cheese, crackers, fruit, and other goodies for a fun lunch outdoors. Take the picnic in the backyard or to the park.
2. Movie night: Family movie night is the best and you can easily do this more than once this summer. Each week someone else in the family can pick the movie for the whole family to watch. Make some popcorn and pick up some candy to complete the fun movie night.
3. Ice cream: Go out for ice cream, make homemade ice cream, or make ice cream sundaes for a perfect summer treat!
4. Pool: Go to a public pool, friends, pool, or swimming in your own pool.
5. Road trip: We aren’t going on any big road trips this summer but a fun day trip to be a tourist in your own state can be just as fun!
6. Beach: If you don’t have a beach nearby visit some body of water such as a lake, pond, or river. If none of those are an option make a fun beach set up at home.
7. Watch the sunset: We don’t always take the time to really watch the sunset. Take the time to slow down and really watch the sunset or if you are more of a morning person the sunrise works too!
8. Summer craft: There are so many summer crafts to do! Make sun prints, chalk paint, a paper plate summer craft, or painting shells.
9. Water balloons: Have a water balloon fight this summer because nothing is more summer than water balloons.
10. Hike: Go on a hike or nature walk with the family.
11. Camping: Camping is always a fun and reasonably priced activity for the whole family. I also used to do a fun campout with my daughter where we would sleep in sleeping bags in the living room and eat camping food.
12. Read a book: Read a book or many. Most libraries have a summer reading challenge or make a summer reading log to see how much you can read this summer.

17. Game night: This is a fun activity for family or friends. Play a board game or come up with a fun game for everyone to play.

If you can’t catch a real show make tissue paper fireworks and put a firework show on the tv. You can also buy sparklers depending on where you live. For sparklers that is an activity for the adults!

This activity is fun for kids of different ages both my 5 year old and 13 year old like making pizzas.
30. Collect bugs: You don’t necessarily have to collect them but you can go on a bug hunt if you don’t want to actually touch them. We have a little tube that has a magnifying glass for bug viewing.
