The countdown to Halloween has begun! One of my favorite things to do around Halloween is watch Hocus Pocus. It’s my absolute favorite Halloween movie. Yes, I prefer the funny movies to the scary movies. I can do a little bit of scary but nothing too creepy. There’s this thing called sleep that I don’t get enough of and would prefer not to fill it with anything scary. My daughter’s five, I don’t know if she is quite ready yet for Hocus Pocus or would be interested in it but you better believe I will do my best to show her the ways of the Sanderson sisters. Hocus Pocus is really a great movie for any age(in my opinion). These fun Hocus Pocus party printables are perfect for a Halloween movie night with friends or kids. I made toppers and signs that you can get the free printables for below. I also made decorations that can be used for banners, centerpieces or hanging up. Get the printables below.
This is how I like my spiders! With glitter and you know, not real. I don’t have a fear of spiders but I would definitely jump a bit if I saw one. Halloween is the time of spider and all things creepy but I like to make my creepy things look more pretty than creepy. These diy glitter spider rings were really easy to make and transform basic spider rings into something shiny and pretty. These are good for kids and adult parties. You can also use them as table decorations or wine charms.
These monster eye Halloween Hershey Kisses are the easiest Halloween dessert for parties or to pass out to trick or treaters. You can just have a bowl of Halloween Hershey Kisses for guests. Since I always have googly eyes for crafts(I use an excessive amount of googly eyes) I though they would be perfect to put on some kind of candy. The bottom of the kisses are the perfect size for a googly eye. You can put these in the bowl of candy to pass out to trick or treaters to add a little more fun to the candy.
I can’t believe it is almost October! That means it is time to get ready for Halloween. I always like to make cute desserts with my daughter. I usually like the no bake or easy to bake desserts. My daughter and I also have a thing for candy eyes. We needed some inspiration for cute treats to make and boy did we find it! I cannot wait to make these adorable Halloween desserts kids will love.

Everyone has there favorite Halloween candy. I’m a chocolate gal and Kit Kats are one of my favorites. My daughter and I both go for the chocolate. I may have to secretly hoard some of the Kit Kats and chocolate goodies. If you can’t steal candy from your children then who can you steal candy from?! The fun thing about making these easy Halloween Kit Kat Bars is they come in different colors for a variety of Halloween things. I saw these in the store with white, orange and chocolate all in the pack. I knew they would be perfect for making cute Halloween creatures!
My daughter loves to wear headbands! She also is big into dress up and pretend play. I wanted to make a monster headband for her and this diy monster headband was really fun to make. I used things we had around the house to make it. You can make it for pretend play or with a Halloween costume. A lot of monster costumes have a huge fuzzy part that goes over your head. Most kids I know wont wear costumes that cover up most of their head. You could then just glue a bunch of googly eyes on a dress and black felt for a mouth . Bam you have an easy no sew costume. This I thought would be fun for my daughter to wear to school without having to dress up in a costume.
I’ve been in to the ghost ideas this week for Halloween. These Halloween ghost crafts and desserts from around the web all look so fun to make! What is Halloween without ghosts?! My favorite Halloween costume to date was when my daughter dressed as a ghost and I dressed as a ghost buster. I had to by a mans costume because the female ones weren’t exactly trick or treat friendly. She was so adorable in her ghost costume I found on etsy. These ghosts ideas from around the web have something for adults and kids.
Halloween is just around the corner! Okay, maybe down the street and around the corner but I am getting ready. We are getting into the fun time of year when all the holidays start coming up. October through December is probably my favorite time of year. I get to decorate for all the holidays and make fun treats. Plus it gets nice out instead of this 100 and something degree weather in Phoenix. That is why I am ready to start now in September to get ready for all the fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving etc. fun! These little diy ghost treat bags with printable tags are the cutest and ridiculously easy to make. These would be cute to give to kids in class or neighbors. Even on Halloween why not give out candy in little treat bags?! You can’t go wrong with the classic ghosts for Halloween.
I am so excited about Halloween! It is my favorite holiday because everyone gets to let out their inner child. Children get to have fun year round but Halloween is a chance for adults to also act like kids. There are plenty of kids crafts that I will be doing with my daughter. This diy is for the adults to dress up their drinks. These wine bottle ghosts are easy to make for Halloween parties. Also sometimes adults can use a little wine before trick or treating. They are a fun host gift to bring to parties, favors for adults. I love wine but you can make ghost beers, whiskeys, whatever you like.
I can’t believe it is finally Halloween week! I have been so busy with Halloween projects for the past month. I thought it would be a good idea to put them all together in case you missed anything. These Halloween party crafts and treats are all easy to make for a fun Halloween party. We are definitely prepared for Halloween, at least with decorations and desserts. I still don’t have a costume but I always throw something together last minute. I keep seeing so many adorable diy costumes I just haven’t been able to decide. My indecisiveness leads to procrastination and then I will be up late the night before making a costume haha. My daughter on the other hand has been wearing her costume for the past couple weeks. She wants to wear it all the time! Hopefully it will make it to Halloween in one piece.
