Today doesn’t feel like summer but soon enough it will be summer. This summer I am moving to Florida by the beach! I am beyond excited to be by the ocean. My daughter and I love to collect shells from the beach. She will take any piece of shell and I’m a little more picky with the ones I pick out. We have a bunch in jars that I still need to figure out what to do with. I think they make cute decorations just like that or maybe we can paint them. That’s the story of my life collecting things for later projects that never happen. She also tries to look in the shells to see if there is anything living inside or a pearl. We have found a few clam shells but nothing was left inside. I thought clam shells would make adorable treats for a beach or mermaid party! These were so easy to make! Since the frosting is on the inside it does not matter if you are a pro at piping frosting. I did use a piping bag and a star tip but you could just use a bag with the corner cut off for the frosting.
I am a sucker for cute and silly cupcakes! If you have been to my site before, chances are you have seen some cupcakes or other cute desserts. I don’t make anything fancy because I am not a professional. My goal with making desserts is to make them simple so myself and others can actually achieve the look. These fun little kissing lips cupcakes are really cute for Valentine’s Day. It’s a day all about love and love involves some smooches. My daughter knows I give way too many smooches. She is at the age where she isn’t wanting me to kiss her as much so I have to sneak them in when I can. She’s a little fiveager, acting like a teenager but she’s only five. It is my job as a parent to kiss her in public and embarrass her in front of her friends. These kissing lips Valentine’s Day cupcakes are a fun treat for Galentine’s parties as well. I made them a few different ways to try them out and see what looked best. I tried to give them a bit of an illustrated/cartoon look. You can get creative with how to make them.
The super bowl is right around the corner! That means time to bring out all the cute football party desserts and food. This easy football field cupcake cake is perfect for a football party. I made a couple mini cupcake cakes but you can do one lager one too! It’s the same process you would just use a whole batch of cupcakes for a larger football field cupcake cake. Mini ones are fun and you can spread them out at a party or on a dessert table. I love Super Bowl parties mainly for all of the food that people make. I can make little appetizers but usually I am on the dessert making team! These cupcakes are really easy to make and I put little M&Ms as players on the field! I thought that was a cute touch. I only wrote out a few of the field numbers because there wasn’t space for more, plus it’s easier that way. I will also share my secret for filling in the gaps of cupcakes when making a cupcake cake!
My daughter is obsessed with penguins! Here bed looks like the stuffed animal arctic. She is building up quite the penguin collection. I think it is so adorable. The only problem is she wants to go see penguins in their natural habitat and I had to break it to her that’s not going to happen. She wants to see those emperor penguins waddling in the wild. We are Arizona girls I don’t think I could handle the cold and it would be quite the impossible trip to visit penguins in Antarctica. When I was in South Africa there were penguins and they were the cutest. Hopefully someday we can visit the beach dwelling penguins! That’s more my style. I get cold when it is 50 degrees.
Time to get this party started! Who doesn’t love shiny disco balls? I personally use disco balls to decorate my desk but that’s just me. These disco ball cupcakes are a fun and easy cupcake for New Years or other shiny parties! A disco bridal show would be fun too! I served them on a shiny tray I made with sparkly washi tape. You can make any kind of cupcakes and all you need to do is add white frosting and some silver sanding sugar. You can also make them in gold or pink like the disco balls shown above. I think I will do pink next! These are really fun to eat while watching the ball drop on New Years. Although, I often don’t make it up that late the sugar rush might help!
You can make all of the emojis in cute cupcake topper form! These are simple to make with store bought or homemade cupcakes. I will show you how to make a few of my favorite emojis with these yummy chocolate toppers. Anyone can make these for an emoji party. You could make them all with the same emoji or mix it up with your favorite emojis. These diy emoji cupcakes are sure to be a hit at an emoji party.

I’m in serious need of some beach time. I’m sure we all are, am I right?! I used to live in San Diego but now I live in Phoenix. When it gets to this time of year I miss the beach. I just want to put my feet in the sand. For now I will have to settle for a pool. Even if I can’t get the real thing it is a great time of year for beach themed parties. These beach sandals cupcakes are perfect for summer and beach parties. They’re simple to make and you can bring the beach to you! I just love making(eating) cupcakes and needed to get my cupcake fix.
Today I have really easy bunny cupcake with printable ears for you! The printable ears are a little bit smaller than these since these ones were about as big as the cupcakes. These little funny bunnies are adorable and very simple to make for anyone. Perfect for Easter. All I have left to figure out is an Easter basket. I made these cupcakes as simple as possible because I know how busy everyone gets with Easter egg hunts, making food and everything else for Easter. The fun thing with the printable ears is you can use them for other crafts! Use them with pom pom craft balls and googly eyes(yes, I always have to suggest googly eyes). You could also put them in an apple or any fruit to get your kids to eat some fruit! The possibilities are endless.
This weeks theme on the blog is Cinderella! I just had to make these Cinderella slipper cupcakes for the occasion. You can also make high heel cupcakes like this for a girls night, white ones for a bridal shower and I know a few ladies who would love these for their birthday! I must confess I am not much of a heels person. Yes, I love the look of pretty heels, especially the sparkly ones. However, my feet hate them and I am the biggest klutz on the planet. I have fallen on my butt while wearing heels more times than I care to admit. Those who can’t wear heels make pretty high heel cupcakes! I love the light blue Cinderella color! I could also see hot pink or red for the adult ladies.
4th of July is all about the fireworks and firecrackers! Also it’s about the food, there will be so many BBQs going on this weekend it is the best time! So I decided to put those two wonderful things together in a fun topper. These firecracker cupcake toppers with star sprinkles inside turned out so cute! I used them for cupcakes but they would be perfect for a cake or even on some fruit. Sometimes my watermelon needs some sprinkles to make it extra appealing.
I live in Arizona and they are selling firecrackers and fireworks all over the place. Call me crazy but I personally don’t want to be setting off fireworks in the desert when it’s dry and 110 degrees. I like watching fireworks but I will stick with the professional show. Actually with a 4 year old I think we probably wont be up late enough for any kind of fireworks. We will just have to settle for all the food and pretend firecrackers. That’s more my style anyways.
