Flamingo Chocolate Pops

I love flamingos! They are so fun for summer. Since the invention of flamingo pool floats and flamingo drink floats they have become a summer staple. I could not be happier about that. They are just so pretty for celebrations! I love all things pink so bring on the pink flamingos! I made these adorable flamingo chocolate pops that were really easy to make. All you need are candy melts and some gold or pink pipe cleaners for the legs. I am working on my video skills so I did a video for how to make these but I can also walk you through the steps. read more

Decorated Dollar Store Chocolate Box Gifts

brush stroke painted chocolate boxes

Whenever I am at the store around Valentine’s Day I see these little chocolate boxes with cheesy pictures on them. I typically just pass them by because the pictures of flowers or puppies don’t call to me. This year I decided those boxes could look really cute with a little extra love. They just needed a makeover to turn into the perfect gifts. It doesn’t take much to make these decorated dollar store chocolate box gifts. All I did was add some paint in a few fun colors and look how pretty they turned out! The paint completely transformed the boxes into modern fun gifts. These would be great gifts for Galentine’s Day, to hand out to friends, or family. I always have a hard time thinking of little gifts to give that also have a bit of a personal touch to them. Also, I sometimes just need an excuse to paint something. It had been way too long since I had taken out my paint brushes. I wouldn’t say I am the best painter ever but since I am not a professional I know anyone could make these pretty boxes. read more

Pretty colorful chocolates

Make Colorful Chocolates

Pretty colorful chocolates

I like everything to be bright and colorful, including my food! It doesn’t take much to make boring brown chocolates look bright and cheery. This Valentine’s Day I am giving my daughter little treats spread out throughout the month. Nothing expensive just little gifts to show her I care. She will be getting stickers, a little puzzle, figurines, and of course her favorite is the chocolates. Honestly, it’s my favorite part of Valentine’s Day too! The best part of giving her this box of chocolates was when she opened it up and was completely shocked by the fun colors. I made these with a dollar store chocolate box. Buy a bunch of little chocolate boxes to hand out to friends or family, the more the merrier! Anyone could make colorful chocolates with these easy steps, trust me if I can do it you can too. I made them for my daughter in her favorite colors pink and turquoise. However, you could use any colors you want such as red and white for Valentine’s Day. You can also buy a bag of heart shaped chocolates and then put the finished colorful chocolates in little clear bags. read more

Simple Turkey Chocolate Pretzels

Turkey chocolate covered pretzels

When it comes to Thanksgiving desserts I definitely always have to have some pie. It’s not my favorite dessert ever but it’s a Thanksgiving tradition. My daughter on the other hand will not touch pie unless maybe it is chocolate and has tons of whipped cream piled on top. I also add an excessive amount of whipped cream, it runs in the family. I wanted to make a simple Thanksgiving treat that my daughter would eat and could help make. These turkey chocolate pretzels were the perfect Thanksgiving treat for her! She helped with dipping the pretzels in the chocolate and putting on the faces. I like to make a fast dessert that doesn’t require a lot of patience to make. My 5 year old has more patience than some kids but that still is not a lot. read more

Monster eye Halloween Hersheys kisses

Monster Eye Halloween Hershey Kisses

hershey kisses for Halloween

These monster eye Halloween Hershey Kisses are the easiest Halloween dessert for parties or to pass out to trick or treaters. You can just have a bowl of Halloween Hershey Kisses for guests. Since I always have googly eyes for crafts(I use an excessive amount of googly eyes) I though they would be perfect to put on some kind of candy. The bottom of the kisses are the perfect size for a googly eye. You can put these in the bowl of candy to pass out to trick or treaters to add a little more fun to the candy. read more

Chocolate Covered Donut Pops!

Ridiculously Easy Chocolate Covered Donut Pops!

I love cake pops. Once I discovered the cute things you could make on a pop I was obsessed. The problem with cake pops is the time it takes to make them. You have to make the cake, roll the pops, refrigerate them, dip them and decorate. Yes, the results are worth it but they just take a long, long time! I have tried cake pop makers they just turned out too dry. Using donut holes to make pops is a great alternative because they taste great(uh, duh donuts) and you can still decorate them and make them cute for any occasion! These ridiculously easy chocolate covered donut pops are amazing and ridiculously delicious! read more
