Flower Wreath Cupcakes!

Today I am combining two of my favorite things cupcakes and flowers! That is the way to my heart, cupcakes and flowers. If I am mad at someone I will immediately forget if they bring me cupcakes or flowers(preferably both). I love springtime with all of the flowers blooming. I keep seeing these beautiful yellow flowers everywhere. That is probably why I am loving yellow lately! This is such a fun way to present cupcakes for a spring party or for Mother’s Day. If your mom is anything like me then she would love these flower wreath cupcakes. You could also make a bouquet but I thought a wreath would be fun. read more

Earth Day Cake Pops!

Earth Day Cake Pops

Earth Day is coming up soon! In the past I haven’t really done much for this day. The last couple of years my daughter Keira was too young to really get into it. This year though we have some fun things planned. We are going to plant some fruits and vegetables at my parents house. We live in an apartment and despite my best efforts I can’t keep plants alive. It is better for the Earth if I don’t personally own plants. I am also setting up an easy recycling activity with items laid out to recycle and Keira can put them in the pretty recycle bin. I know one of the best ways to get Keira’s attention is with something yummy or a fun crafts. Like mother like daughter. I made these Earth cake pops for a party but they are perfect for Earth Day. read more

Easter Printables for Peeps and Cadbury Eggs!

IMG_37371

Happy Friday! I am going to keep this post short and sweet. Peep and Cadbury Egg sweet ;).Sorry for the bad jokes I’m a little loopy it is past my bedtime. I like to live dangerously like that and stay up past 11. I made these fun little Easter gift tags that you can put on bags and hand out to your friends. I have some “peeps” and “chicks” in my life that I want to show some love to. Such an easy Easy Easter gift! Now I am officially ready for Easter. Luckily I got everything done a week in advance, which is something I rarely do since I am a procrastinator by nature. read more

Silly Bunny Boxes with Free Printables!

IMG_36741

We are in full on Easter prep this week! My daughter Keira is on spring break so we have some extra time for activities. Besides going out on fun adventures, I planned a few Easter crafts to get us ready for the Easter bunny. I wanted to make silly bunnies because well we are silly and appreciate some silliness(is that a word?). I was thinking of making sock bunnies or bags but I happened to have these cake boxes so I made bunny boxes. If you don’t have boxes you could use paper bags, which would look adorable! I might make some bunny bags before Easter. read more

Bunny Ears and Bunny Nose Treats!

IMG_35521

My daughter Keira has really been getting excited for Easter this week. Yesterday she was wearing bunny ears around the entire day. They kept falling in her face but she insisted on keep them on. She also picked out a cute dress for Easter. It has multicolored jelly beans all over it, so cute! She has a better fashion sense than I do so I usually let her pick out what she wants to wear. Both of us love bright colors and spring is the perfect time for that. To get ready for Easter I’ve been testing out some fun and easy treats. We made bunny ear chocolate spoons and marshmallow pop bunny noses. This was so easy to put together. I like anything I can prepare with Keira so I don’t have to stay up at night getting things ready. read more

Easter Chick Cupcakes

6522

I just love this time of year. March is probably my favorite month because the weather is just amazing in Arizona. I have to soak it in before the heat comes. We have been decorating with flowers and getting ready for Easter. Last Easter I made these cute baby chick mini cupcakes! I made mini cupcakes to fit in the Easter eggs and because mini chick cupcakes are just too cute! I wanted something easy to make and put out during the Easter festivities.

Grow a Rainbow

rainbow

In my house we are getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day! Since my daughter and I are big arts and crafts fans I plan a few crafty activities to go with every holiday. I decide it would be fun to “grow” a rainbow. Keira and I planted the “seed” before she went to school and when she came back the rainbow had grown. She was really so excited to see that her rainbow had grown. A few times we have tried to grow little flowers and plants in pots but never successfully. I always forget to water the plants and Keira expects them to grow in a day. I can’t even keep a cactus alive, I know its pathetic. I love flowers but I can’t be trusted with them. So I will stick to “growing” rainbows and fake plants. read more

Hearts, hearts and more hearts!

IMG_2307

I am all about the hearts right now! I got some red pipe cleaners and have found so many fun things you can do with them to decorate! They are easy to shape into hearts and look really cute wrapped around paper straws.

IMG_2337

I also made a cute little love bug headband. Wouldn’t really stay on too long but can work for a Valentine’s Day party. You can secure it with booby pins or barrettes.

IMG_2319 IMG_2320 IMG_2321 IMG_2323 IMG_2326

Take one pipe cleaner and bend it down in a circle shape. Then take another pipe cleaner and bend it in half. Make a heart shape on each end as shown above. You bend it in between your fingers for the top of the heart. Wrap the bottom together. Then put it around the middle of the other pipe cleaner and twist it a few times to keep it in place. read more

Candy Heart Pops!

PicMonkey Collage

These marshmallow pops and heart candy pops taste great! They are super easy to make and look adorable. I am all about the bright fun colors this Valentine’s Day! I think I went a little overboard with the candy hearts I bought so I am using them in any ways I can. No actual baking involved here so anyone could make these.

For the heart pops you need candy melts any color you want or white chocolate, conversation hearts or heart sprinkles, lollipop sticks and a candy making bottle. read more
