Materials needed to make the bus craft:

Pdf file and a pdf reader such as adobe to view the file.

A home printer or take it to a local print shop

White cardstock paper or printer paper

Glue stick

Pair of scissors

Optional: construction paper or colorful craft paper in yellow, black, red, and white

Optional: crayons, paints, or markers for coloring in the bus template

School Bus Craft:

First you will want to download the digital file of the template you want. Do you want the white template, coloring, or build a bus option.

Next print out the file on white cardstock or printer paper. You can even print it on yellow paper and add black paint for the wheels.

If you are going to color in the bus template now is the time to color it in on the original coloring sheet. Paint, color with colored pencils, or markers. The materials you use might depend on the age and skill level of your kids. Kids can use yellow paint to paint the entire body of the bus.

Cut out different pieces of the bus on the build a bus template. Trace the template on to construction paper if you prefer to not print out the color version. Use yellow for the main part of the bus, white for windows, black for wheels, and gray for the bumper. There is also a cut and glue option if you don’t want to use construction paper. I like to give the option to use a blank template and save on the extra cost of ink for printers.

Glue the wheels on to the front and back bottom part of the bus. Glue the windows on to the side of the bus on the back, middle, and front portion of the template towards the top but not at the very top.

Then you are done but you can also write school bus on the side in black marker. You can also write a kids name on the side. If you are adding pictures in the bus just glue the picture into the one of the windows on the bus.

I hope your kids or kids in your class have a wonderful time going back to school!
