Pretty easy butterfly bagels

Butterfly Bagels

Butterfly bagels

My daughter is a bagel addict. She could completely live off of bagels if I let her. After a while I get bored with just a plain old bagel and cream cheese. She also really likes butterflies. We are moving soon and she might have an all butterfly room! I’m a little nervous to over do the butterflies in case she changes her mind but I don’t think butterflies can go out of style. I made these cute butterfly bagels for her as a snack and she loved them! Add sprinkles to anything and she will love them. It may not be something to have every day but for a fun creative snack or a spring party butterfly bagels are a cute way to dress up plain bagels. Plus, they are incredibly easy to put together. You don’t have to have sprinkles, you could add cute cut out fresh fruit too. I tried to do that with my daughter but she wanted her fruit on the side and had the butterflies pretend to eat the fruit. However she has the fruit I am happy with as long as she eats it too. I think  these bagels would be adorable for a brunch with kids and adults. Who knows the adults might like them even more than the kids! read more

Funny Free Printable Food Labels

Free Printable Sports Party Food Labels

Free Printable Food Labels for sports parties

When it comes to watching sports with a group there are the people super in to the game and just there for the food. I fall into the later category. I enjoy sports and know whats going on during a football game. I personally am more about the experience of watching sports with a group and eating tons of food. That is the best part! I may not have a team in the game during the Super Bowl but I am always “Team Cheese”. I made these super cute funny free printable sports party food labels for the big game. These are perfect for food toppers or labels at a Super Bowl party. Really they would be fun for any sports party including kids birthday parties. I love the mini foam fingers, these would look so cute on top of some cupcakes. Cupcakes are #1 in my book! People may not agree on what team should win but we can all be on “Team Food”. I tried to cover the Super Bowl party foods that are typically served such as chips, dip, cheese(in any form), burgers, and tacos. Are tacos a thing all over the country or is it just an Arizona thing to serve tacos at any occasion? I could eat tacos, chips, and guacamole all day every day so I am definitely “Team Tacos”. read more

For parties or having company over I just love appetizers! Partly because I don’t cook a lot and appetizers can be easier. Also, if I mess something up then at least there are other options. It takes the pressure off! Appetizers tend to take less time to make and eat ;). They are good for social eating because you can walk around and mingle while enjoying tiny bites. Although, I tend to end up glued to the food because I that’s one of the best parts about parties. Presentation is an important part about serving appetizers. I’ve seen so many cute ways to serve little bites. These are some creative ways to serve appetizers from around the web, click on the page name to see the recipes and how tos. I also added a few of my own ideas. These ideas can work great for homemade and store bought appetizers. Any food will look great served in these creative ways! read more

Appetizer Pizza Cups

Easy Pizza Cup Appetizers

Appetizer Pizza Cups

I personally do not have a lot of time to cook. Especially for special occasion or large groups of people. While I wish I had time to take cooking classes and perfect the skill, preferably in the south of France. A girl can dream right?! In the meantime I will stick to easy recipes that anyone can prepare in minutes. Let me tell you, these easy pizza cups are as easy as it gets! They use Pillsbury crescent rolls, which are delicious on there own and even better when you add in some pizza goodness. These little bites of pizza are perfect for the non-chef to make as an appetizer or for party food. They were approved by my picky five year old. Kid and adult approved that doesn’t happen often! With the holidays coming up I know everyone needs some easy appetizers or weeknight meals to make for guests from out of town. You have to save the heavy lifting for Thanksgiving. You could also make these for holiday parties. Trust me they will be gone in minutes! read more

Bacon Flowers

Bacon Flowers

National bacon day is coming up on August 31 in case you didn’t know. It is an important holiday to celebrate! Really any excuse to eat more bacon ;). I wanted to show my love for bacon with a bacon bouquet. I found an easy way to make bacon look pretty in a “flower” bouquet. This is perfect for breakfast in bed for a birthday or if you are making brunch. This week on my blog the theme is brunch! I love, love brunch. Bacon, mimosas, and french toast, does life get any better?! Come back and join me for all of the brunch fun! Back to bacon talk. I didn’t add anything to the bacon because bacon stands on its own. You could add a little maple syrup for maple bacon or brown sugar to sweeten it. Life’s just better with bacon! read more
