Popsicle Stick Leaf Doll

This craft is just the cutest fall craft for kids. My daughter actually wanted to make these and sometimes she is hard to please with crafts. She used to be really in to crafts but lately it’s hard to find crafts that compete with Roblox. Sometimes I have to get her to put down the electronics and make some old fashioned crafts! She had fun making these popsicle stick leaf dolls. Crafting is fun with a little partner. She doesn’t always love my original ideas, she has to change something to make it her own. I love her creativity, she is sooo my child. These dolls are really simple to make and your kid can put their own spin on it like my daughter did. Hers had its tongue sticking out and it’s hair down how she usually wears her hair. They both had the cute leaf skirts. You can paint on the top or draw it. You could also make a leaf top! Since crafts are just for fun let kids use their own personality and create it the way they want. I just provide the basic craft and let the kiddo let loose! read more

Butterfly Leaf Craft

leaf butterflies

I have been out of blogging for far to long and I missed my creative crafty time! I’m pregnant and my craft time has been taken over by nap time. However, I got a surge of energy and now I’m back at it with some fun fall projects. My daughter and I made some cute leaf projects with Dollar Tree faux leafs. You can also use real leaves you collect, we just don’t have those as available here. In the fall here we get more butterflies than falling leaves. We live in Florida and don’t have the full four seasons. I love the idea of fall, but I don’t know if I could handle a traditional cold winter. We only get a couple tiny falling leaves, but we do have the monarch butterflies migrating through this area in October. It’s a magical experience to be surrounded by tons of butterflies! I love butterflies. The monarchs are my favorite along with blue butterflies. The great thing about this butterfly leaf craft is they wont fly away from you. You an keep them to play with over and over again. read more

Thanksgiving Leftovers Bags

Thanksgiving is the time to eat as much as your heart desires. Also to be thankful for all that food, friends, and family. My eyes are often bigger than my stomach and at a certain point I am just stuffed and can’t eat any more. Luckily for me there are always leftovers. My mom cooks enough to send everyone home with leftovers and then I can just live off of that meal for a week. It is that good I could eat it all week.I made these cute little turkey Thanksgiving leftovers bags. You can put food in plastic bags in these paper bags to take to go or small Tupperware. The printable tag says “I’m Stuffed…With Leftovers!” read more

Back To School Chocolate Bars

Back to school is a fun time for kids and parents. I think by the end of summer everyone is ready for back to school! What better way to celebrate than with some chocolate. Kids can practice writing letters on chocolates or these are fun to send in school lunches for the first week of school. Nothing complicated to make since there are enough things to do to get ready for school. My daughter is starting first grade and the school supply list is growing! My daughter is excited for this year because it is real grown up kid learning. These chocolate bars are kind of like little chalk boards to write letters. If kids are making them they can write the letters on with a paint brush or with chocolate bottles. It could get messy but it’s also really fun! Plus, every occasion needs chocolate, that is just a fact. Momma needs some chocolate during back to school time that is for sure! Make these back to school chocolate bars for a fun back to school activity with kids! read more

Beauty and The Beast Party Games

Yellow streamers Beauty and The Beast Game

We love playing games at my house. Sometimes we just come up with games for fun. We have also been getting ready for the new Beauty and the Beast movie. That means Beauty and the Beast parties! It also means everyone needs some party games to celebrate or just to play at home over spring break! I have some ideas for easy party games. Some take a few materials from the dollar store. All of them should be easy enough for a range of ages to play. We know all ages love the movie. It was one of my favorites as a kid and now I get to relive it all with my daughter. Isn’t that the best when you can relive the movies you loved as a child with your own child?! read more

Glitter Toy Snow Globes

Toy jar snow globe

My daughter loves little tiny toys. Luckily they are cheap and she gets a lot of use out of them. The only problem is over time we have accumulated a ton of them. I wanted to find another use for them. With my love of snow globes at the moment I thought it would be cute to turn them into glitter toy snow globes. You can add snow in too with the glitter, just snow or just glitter. We have a ton of my little pony toys. We also have an excessive amount of Star Wars toys. You can use any little toys. Those little surprise bag toys are great for make toy snow globes. read more

Thanksgiving Turkey Activity

Build a turkey activity

I love Thanksgiving. All the family, all the food, how can you go wrong?! Kids don’t always have the patience to sit through a long meal. Sometimes they need a little extra entertainment and activities. These little Thanksgiving turkey activity bags are a fun and easy activity to entertain the kids. You can also use play doh or pom pom balls to build a turkey. I used what I had which was paper and they turned out so cute! These are also a fun nonfood Thanksgiving thing to give out to friends. Microphone Craft

Microphone craft with kids

Summer has ended but before it does we had some serious dance parties! My daughter loves music and says she wants to be a rock star. That is why we needed to make a microphone craft. We made some sparkly pretend microphones to bring out our inner rock stars. These were really easy to make and I got to use some of the toilet paper rolls I have been hoarding. You never know when you will need to make a toilet paper roll craft in a pinch. My daughter keeps making the paper towel rolls in to light sabers. I think we have about 10 of them by now. read more
